Murray River, the Victorian Side

Grade 2 walk,  9 km maximum. From the Gateway Village we'll walk along Lemke's Road to a track that leads to the most incredible River Red Gums. In a straight line the end of the walk is 1.1km from Union Bridge, but the Murray does not follow a straight line! From the Riverside walking track we normally take a shortcut, which either means ducking under Union Bridge or crossing some swampy areas. This walk is remarkable in that it is not shown on any maps, and it passes some magnificent River Red Gums! Its 4.5 km in, and 4.5 km back.
