Event Report:

9 MVB members and a dog met at Bullioh/Granya turn off at 9.15am. We then drove 2 cars to Darbyshire Road, 10 kms further. We started walking at 9.30am.

The morning gave us pleasant walking, cool and cloudy. We passed and inspected 3 trestle bridges before our morning tea stop at 11 am. The rail trail presented an easy downhill sloping track all the way for 12 kms.

We enjoyed looking at more trestle bridges- the highest trestle bridge on the line, and another 2 more, making 6 historic bridges altogether. Views of the valley were seen as the sun came out. We walked through bushland areas, stopping for lunch at 1pm. This section of the Rail Trail has a variety of scenery. We completed our walk by 2.30pm.
