Monday morning short walk - Baranduda 5 km grade 2
Please have your double vax status available - members must provide their own sanitisers, gloves, wipes, masks, etc. If car pooling is required please contact the event co-ordinator.
Normal social distancing rules will apply. If 1.5m cannot be maintained then a mask needs to be worn; particularly if car pooling is used.
Walk the Baranduda nature trail north for 2km alongYackandanah road then. Then we will explore the Stringybark block and continue west crossing Baranduda Blvd near the tennis courts. A gradual climb along a footpath leads to the fire trail we follow south to return to Jamison drive. Some small hills but the remainder is flat.
Dogs OK.
Meet at Jamison Drive reserve at 8am. The walk will start and finish there
Coffee on Sage is new shop near the community centre - masks required
Toilets are available on this walk at the Baranduda tennis courts.
Bring hat, water and a morning tea snack. Coffee and cake a possibility at the new coffee shop or the local general store.
GRADE 2
No bushwalking experience required. The track has a hardened or compacted surface that may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps.
GRADE 3
Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps.
Day Walking

- Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
- Sunscreen
- Gloves and hat
- Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event
- Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
- Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
- Walking poles
- Gaiters
- Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
- Torch or headlamp for contingencies
