Cobungra Ditch track

Here is a chance to walk the newest trail on Mt Hotham - a 12 km flat track that follows a watercourse built by hand in the 1880s to facillitate sluicing for gold at the Brandy Creek Gold Mine. This walk is steeped in history and amply supplied with interpretative signs all the way along its length. As the next day is the Mt Buffalo Big Walk led by Hans  there is an opportunity to car camp overnight in Bright or Porepunkah or possibly at Lake Catani to enable an early start on the big climb up Mt Buffalo.
