Wandering a Wodonga Retained Environment Network reserve

Grassy woodland

We will meet at the Baranduda Scout Hall then drive east along Chapple Lane and head south on Whytes Rd for 2 minutes to a WREN corridor reserve - unfortunately we will need to climb over a locked gate to enter the reserve but be assured this is a  public reserve not private property. To walk the perimeter will take less than 1 hour.

Bring binoculars, camera and your favorite bird book. Also a thermos, chair and cake - there is a delightful shady patch of grassy woodland to relax after the wander and enjoy the ambience. This corridor  has superb remant and forward planting vegetation that provides habitat for a range of threatened bird species. Grey Fantail photo by Neville Bartlett.

GRADE 2

No bushwalking experience required. There is no track as such or hill to climb - the surface is grassy and leafy however and a number of fallen logs to negotiate

There is a small dam and creek with water for dogs to have a romp
