This charity walk has been staged by the Rotary Club of Albury North to commemorate the bicentenary of the visit by Hamilton Hume and William Hovell to what is now known as Table Top Mountain on the 14th November 1824. Hume and Hovell formerly named this mountain "Battery Mount", but this name fell into disuse in the 1850's. Before that it was known to the local Wiradjiri tribe as Mulyan yar Gunyah, meaning 'home of the eagle'.

This return trip of 6km to the top will include an elevation gain of 250m. It is mostly on 4WD tracks with a small section of rock scrambling. Suitable for people of moderate fitness.

No dogs.  A sausage sizzle and coffee van will be available onsite (bring your cash).

Charity funds collected by the Rotary Club of Albury North will support the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund Inc.

Meet at the southern end of Lavington Coles carpark at 9.00am.

Car pooling needs to be worked out as the charity entry fee is $25 cash per car load and paid on entry to the property. This should equate to around $5-$8 per person.

Any late cancellations please call me on 0456 100 183.
