Want to walk in the footsteps of Hume and Hovell (or part there of?).
Overall Track details
The track starts at Cooma Cottage on the outskirts of Yass and finishes at the Hovell Tree on the banks of the Murray River in Albury.
It has three track heads (major access points and are ideal for car-based camping) approximately 100 kms apart.
James Fitzpatrick at Wee Jasper.
Thomas Boyd on the Goobarragandra River 23 kms from Tumut.
Henry Angel on Burra Creek near Tumbarumba.
FYI Cooma Cottage was the home of Hamilton Hume.
This walk, we start from Henry Angel Track Head and walk to the Mannus Lake Camp Site.
It is a very special section of the walk, one diversion to Big Hill, walk past Lake Mannus,(recently rebuilt ) to the Lake Camp site.
For travellers on the Saturday meet at Manus Track head on the Corner of Jingelic Road and Mannus Bridge Road 8 am. ( Very close to Mannus Creek Bridge )
There are 2 corners of Mannus Bridge Road, We want the one closest to Jingelic.

Then we move to Lake Manus Camp and leave a car, and drive to Henry Angel Trackhead. about 15km 20 minutes
Car Camp at Trevor's Place on Friday night. (Check with Trevor) if anyone wants a social evening. Head off Sat Morning drop a car off at Mannus Camp Site drive to henry Angel and walk on
Sat Evening a BBQ dinner at Trevors. (Bring your own everything - Food plates etc etc )
Sunday morning Trevor will take us to Mannus Falls then we drive home.
Driving from Albury Wodongs About 1hour 40 and 135 km, via Hume to Woomargama, turn off Annadale Road, then right onto Jingelic Road. then left towards Tumbarumba. CLick the image below for more detail in Google Maps
