Book Box Loop, 8km, grade 2

 Bring your unwanted Books, we will visit 3 Book Boxes. You can deposit the books and take if there is one you like.

We start this walk with going through David Winterbottom Park, then up the hill for a loop through  Susan Campbell Reserve. From there along the path in Lou Liebermann park to our first book box. The next stop is the Willow Park box. Toilets and benches for a quick snack. Back up the hill again through parkland to box number 3 on Pearce street. Back to the cars through Kent McKoy Reserve. 

The walk is mainly through Parks and Reserves, gravel and concrete path.

Event Gradings

GRADE 2

No bushwalking experience required. The track has a hardened or compacted surface that may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps.

What to bring for Day Walking

• Current Medical Information Form FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE
• Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
• Sunscreen
• Gloves and hat
• Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
• Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
• Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
• Walking poles
• Gaiters
• Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
• Torch or headlamp for contingencies
