Canoeing Warby Ovens National Park
Join us for the first overnight canoeing event for summer 2014/2015. According to Parks Vic the lower reaches of the Ovens River offer some of the best still water canoeing in the state with a maze of channels and wetlands that you can explore for several kilometres upstream from Camerons Bend. We will setup camp on Friday night. Canoes will be hired from Murray River Canoe Hire and both kayaks and canadians are appropriate. This event is suitable for beginner paddlers who will be partnered with an experienced paddler. It will also be suitable for someone wanting to spend just one day or evening with us or just relax or do some fishing as its close to Albury Wodonga.
We will meet at one of the many Cameron Bend campsites - the preferred campsite location is called campsite new in the attached file and is 2km south of Bundalong bridge. Circumstances may require us to camp at another location in which case participants will be notified accordingly.
