A new walk on the Murray River. This walk is within the extensive Murray Valley Regional Park. The section we will be going into is known as Quatt Quatta East which is located next to the Kismet Riverside Lodge just west of Howlong on the Riverina Hwy.

An easy walk with plenty of shade.

No toilets on this walk but there are in nearby Howlong.

Dogs OK.

Bring  a morning tea snack. Coffee and cake afterwards at a fun cafe in Howlong.

Meet at the Wonga Wetlands at 8am  to arrange transport.

GRADE 2

No bushwalking experience required. The track has a hardened or compacted surface that may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps.

GRADE 3

Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps.

Day Walking

  • Current Medical Information Form FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE
  • Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
  • Sunscreen
  • Gloves and hat
  • Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
  • Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
  • Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
  • Walking poles
  • Gaiters
  • Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
  • Torch or headlamp for contingencies
