Friday 4 Oct - Meet 10am at Mt Wills Car Park on the Omeo Highway, roughly 40km from Mitta Mitta. Car park is on left of highway and there's a sign saying "Tallangatta Ski Hut" and our track is on the right. Do a car shuffle some 7km down the road to Sunnyside where the AAW track meets the Omeo Hwy. All walkers and packs get dropped off. We drive back to park a car(s) at the end of the walk at Mt Wills Carpark. It is possible to park at the Tallangatta Ski Hut if we like to shorten the walk on Sunday.
The walk to the Hut from Sunnyside where we set up our tents is approx 7km, steep in places
Saturday 5 Oct - Take a daypack with morning tea and lunch. Walk downhill to Big River Saddle, then return to base camp at Mt Wills Hut. Quite steep in places.
Sunday 6 Oct - Pack up camp, hike out 4.5km to the Cars at Mt Wills Carpark
If coming from Wodonga direction and wanting to car pool, meet Iris at 8 am at her place.
If coming from Upper Murray, contact Sharon for car pooling.
There should be water in the rainwater tank at Mt Wills Hut. Bring water filter system or purification tablets.
