Join us for a walk on some local historic trails, following in the steps and hooves of the Kelly gang.

A location called Kelly's Caves and Kelly's lookout gave the gang great views down Woolshed Valley

Gold miners woud have cleared most of the bush of trees, for fire and shoring mines, giving the whole range possibly a barren look.

Not far from Kelly's lookout are the Police Caves,  the Troopers stationed there to watch for any of the gang, who had families living in the Valley.

Depending on time and how we manage the off track walking and the weather we may get to all the sites..

Police cave

For the Albury/Wodonga folk,  meet at Bunnings Cark, Wodonga  7:30 am, or if travelling direct to Beechworth,  meet opposite the Church at the top of the hill past the shops.

Go straight through the roundabout,  8:15 meeting time

We enter the forest from the Wangaratta Rd. The last few Km's we need 4x4 vechicles - high clearence.
