Twins and Mt Murray Grade 3 DayWalk or Grade 4 Bike Ride

A day trip on the Dry Barries ridge along the Divide west from Mt St Bernard. Which ever activity you do the views will be awesome - to the west towards the Razor, Viking and Cobbler, to the south to the Dargo High Plains and the Wongungarra River wilderness then around to Hotham, Feathertop and Buffalo.

Ride - mountain-bike along the 4wd Twins track from the Dargo junction at St Bernard to the summit of Mt Murray (1634m). 30km return - one or two short steep pinches and rough in places but generally sidling along the ridge - don't be put off by the profile below!. Riders need to be fit and capable cyclists, up to a day on the saddle, have well-maintained bikes, and repair kits, and know how to use them - more details to come.
Walk - 8km return along the track to the summit of The Twins - a steep climb to the summit (1703m) from the jeep track, then back over the low twin. Leader needed for the walk!

We will meet at the far side of Bright (Tawonga turnoff about 4ks beyond Bright) at 9am.

This is a trip in an Alpine area with parts above the treeline - people need to be prepared accordingly. Check the website for what to bring
