Tuesday morning walk - Nail Can Hill, Lavington: 6 km grade 2/3

All walkers must abide by any COVID-19 health requirements, including providing their own sanitisers, gloves, wipes, masks, etc.  If car pooling/shuffling is required, please contact the event co-ordinator.

This easy walk will explore some of the mountain bike and walking trails in the Range Road and eastern part of Nail Can Hill.

Some trails include Goat Track, Intestine, Dirt Luge, No More Secrets, The Castle, Easy Up, Shelob's Revenge and Twister.

This round trip will return us to our cars.

Dogs OK.

Meet at the end of Range Road, Glenroy at 9am.

Bring hat, water and a morning tea snack. Coffee and cake afterwards for those deserving of it !!

GRADE 2

No bushwalking experience required. The track has a hardened or compacted surface that may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps.

GRADE 3

Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps.

Day Walking

  • Current Medical Information Form FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE
  • Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
  • Sunscreen
  • Gloves and hat
  • Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
  • Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
  • Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
  • Walking poles
  • Gaiters
  • Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
  • Torch or headlamp for contingencies
