NOTICE OF COMMITTEE MEETING

 
The next Committee meeting of Murray Valley Bushwalking Club will be:
 
Monday 5th September 2022 at 7.15pm
At: 74 Castle Creek Road, Wodonga.
 
This committee meeting has been called for discussion of the following items:

General business
 
1.  Purchase of a Zoom licence - formalising the committee's resolution to purchase a zoom licence. This licence will be used in conjunction with all committee meetings.
 
2. Survey recommendations:  Judy Brooke, Judy Lafferty and Anne Hopkins have prepared some recommendations on the survey results. The committee will discuss the recommendations and formulate a response to the survey.
 
4. The 10th Anniversary of the Club was 2021 and was subsequently postponed due to covid restrictions.  A new date for a delayed anniversary event should be arranged
 
5. Life membership:  under the constitution the committee can give one life membership.  Last year a life membership was awarded to Tony Marsh. This year we can award another life membership:  suggested for Peter Presutti.
 
6. The Special General Meeting for the members to vote on the proposed constitution changes is scheduled for 6 September 2022.  
 
 
 
If anyone has anything else they would like to bring to the committee attention

Minutes of the meeting of the leadership sub-committee

held on 3 May 2022 at 6.30 pm

at 74 Castle Creek Road, Wodonga

 

In attendance:  Alison Dallinger, Jan Douglas, Judy Brooke, Judy Lafferty and Tony Marsh.

Chairperson:  Jan Douglas

Firstly the issue of location for the leadership training to take place was discussed.  It was anticiptaed there may be around 10 - 12 people attend. It was decided to go with a booking for the Felltimber Community Centre.  

It was also discussed the form that the leadership training would take.  Jan agreed to run the first leadership training night, with the focus on encouraging new leaders.

The first leadership training event will be held at Felltimber Community Centre at 6.30pm on Tuesday 24 May, 2022.

  3. Facebook Page - who can post on here..
  4. Use of the spot
  5. Responsibility of the leader
  6. Mentoring of new leaders
  7. Emergency contacts for members
  8. Duty of care

The meeting closed at 8.00pm
