Happenings
Leadership weekend
Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October.
Thanks must go to Tracey-Ann Hooley for very informative weekend workshop in leadership, Tracey-Ann a volunteer from Victorian National Parks Association travelled up from Melbourne on saturday morning and met with 12 enthusiastic club members. This is a great way to learn new skills in leadership for bushwalking or in your everyday life, at work etc. I am sure that those who attended can attest to the benefits they gained.
Flinders Ranges
Four members are currently visiting the Flinders Ranges South Australia. A fantastic time is being had by those that are enjoying the many sights that this region has to offer including Wilpena Pound click on the photo below to see where they have been
Koetong State Forest
Iris Joss took 4 members on a delightful walk in the Koetong State Forest on Saturday with many wildflowers and the amazing Lake William all added to the enjoyment and interest of the walk click on the photo below to see a slideshow of the walk.
Emergency Contact Policy
As part of an ongoing assessment and review of safety procedures the committee meeting held Thursday Oct 6th decided to implement a new Emergency Contact procedure. The first part is to ask members to add an appropriate Emergency Contact Person's name and phone number to their membership details.
The easiest way to achieve this is for members to login to the club's website and add the new information to their own profile. If you haven't logged in for a while then you may need to obtain a username/password reminder - this can be done automatically from the Login block on the home page. You can instigate that procedure by choosing the Forgot Login option under login box on the home page
Once you can login with the username and password provided by the system you can add your Emergency Contact Persons info by editing and saving your profile.
You can follow these instructions to achieve this. More details of the new policy will be included in the next bulletin.
