Three After Work Canoeing on Thursday nights have now been held

Farmers Market in Albury
Jenny, Ro, Peter, Hans and Tony attended the market and flogged a few calendars - but fielded heaps of enquries about the club

Some Recent Club Highlights
Club member Di Ross recently completed the gruelling Bright Alpine Club 4 Peaks Event from 29th October to 1st November - this comprises Mystic Hill, Mt Feathertop, Mt Hotham and Mt Buffalo check out photos of the event here
Ray and Jill Hancock completed a number of walks in Gariwerd National Park (the Grampians) - read Jill's report here
Peter Presutt led a walk up Red Light Hill LavingtonTuesday Oct 25 and the south side of the Murray on Friday 28th Oct
Iris and Trevor led a car camping weekend at Wombeyan Caves - check the event report here
Tony and Peter led a couple of walks in Mt Lawson State Park to the amazing Conic Rocks and the Spa on Koetong Creek - check event report here

Our club is affiliated with Bushwalking NSW - from a genesis of just 10 bushwalking clubs in 1932, Bushwalking NSW has evolved to become one of Australia’s foremost outdoor recreation groups, consisting of 66 affiliated clubs representing the interests of more than 10,300 bushwalkers.
The tradition of caring for the natural environment, campaigning for the protection of precious forests and encouraging the bushwalking community to engage with each other and the broader community has continued into the 21st century.
Bushwalking NSW joined the national umbrella organisation Bushwalking Australia at its formation in 2003. This organisation brokers the annual insurance policies for all affilated clubs. An updated version of the Risk Management Guidelines for clubs has just been released - you can access it here

Canoeing Saturday 2pm - 5pm Oct 29 Bowna Reserve
Due to extremely high levels on the Murray we have had to cancel the first three canoeing after work events on thursday evenings
However there is an opportunity for everyone from beginner to leader to refresh your skills and have some fun in a flat water environment this Saturday
We will use single sit on kayaks and the cost is $20 for canoe hire. The event will be followed by a bbq - byo food and drinks. Click on the image or link below to go to our website and book in for this event.

Cape to Cape walk in Western Australia
5 members led by Iris Joss walked the 140km Cape to Cape walk in Western Australia - read the trip report by Iris Joss here
Another group of four led by Bill Krautz walked a tough section of the Heysen Trail in South Australia,
The High Country Rail Trail from Koetong to Shelley was walked recently by a group of 4 led by Iris - read the trip report by Iris Joss here

Hans has headed off on a Nullabor plain odyssey and posted some photos on his Facebook events today..
Canoeing Season 2016-17
Due to extremely high levels on the Murray we have had to cancel the first two canoeing after work events on thursday evenings
However Pizza at Bonettis's Oct 14 still happened and about 21 members and friends were in attendance - no photos to show you sadly
We are going to run a training event for all levels beginner to leader on Saturday Oct 29 probably at Bowna Reserve - more info available soon.
Christmas 2016 Celebrations
Sasho will be offering his traditional December paddle from the weir wall to Noreuil Park followed by an organised lunch in the shade.
We will be once again holding a camping and paddling weekend at Bundalong on the fabulous Ovens River - MurrayRiver confluence.
There will also be an evening social function at Jenny and Tony Marsh's place
